It’s been revealed for a while now that Thomas Perkins is working with Chris Roberson on a new project for MonkeyBrain Comics. We got our first sneak peek at his art last night during the MonkeyBrain Comics panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, and this morning, our mailbox has a few more direct from Mr. Perkins to share with you.
Last week, you marveled at Thomas Perkins art for the characters in the Major Spoilers podcast series, Critical Hit. Now you can see the artist in action with this wonderful bit of silliness.
As we wrap up the week, one of the things we look forward to watching on the weekends is The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The design of the characters in the show should look very familiar – it’s none other than Friend of Major Spoilers, Thomas Perkins. Today, he gives us his look at “What If…”

There’s a new art project on the web called DC Fifty-Too! being run by Jon Morris, where he asks artists to contribute their look at a relaunched DCU. Long time friend of Major Spoilers, Thomas Perkins has been very busy with everything from Ben 10 to the upcoming Green Lantern Animated Series, and even working on a project or two for Major Spoilers. Amid his busy schedule Thomas was able to contribute to the project with his take on Ultra: The Multi-Alien.
We really like the art of Thomas Perkins (and we bet you do, too), and if you want to see a guy who truly loves his family and his art, check out his latest lunch bag art he does for his kids every morning.
Thomas Perkins is such a great guy – not just because he’s a big fan of Major Spoilers – but because of all the awesome artwork he cooks up and that we get to enjoy on a weekly basis thanks to my son’s cartoon cable viewing habits. Friend of Major Spoilers, Thomas Perkins will probably go down as one of the coolest dad’s around after this. While most kids are simply handed a brown bag and told to enjoy their day at school, Perkins goes the extra distance by creating art on his kids’ lunch bags, that when joined form a team picture. And from his Blog, it looks like he does this every day. EVERY! DAY!
It’s nice when creators and artists contact us about the Major Spoilers site, the podcast, or something else we’ve done. Thomas Perkins is the character designer for Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Green Lantern: First Flight, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and the Ben 10 television series. He’s also a fan of Major Spoilers, and has previously created a mock Major Spoilers comic book cover that rocked.
After a recent shout-out on the Major Spoilers Podcast, Thomas jumped back into the Kablammacus universe and whipped up today’s Art Appreciation Moment of the Day.
