After a brief introduction two weeks ago, popular voiceover artist Vanessa Marshall brings Mary Jane Watson to animated life in the character’s first full episode of “The Spectacular Spider-Man” this Saturday, April 26. Entitled “Catalysts,” the episode premieres at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT on Kids’ WB! on The CW.
He’s the announcer for Cartoon Network’s Toonami. You’ve heard him on The Powerpuff Girls, Naruto, Ben 10, and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. You probably know him best as the English voice of Spike Spiegel from my favorite anime series of all time Cowboy Bebop. This weekend, you’ll know Steve Blum as The Green Goblin.
For those who dug The Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but thought the season was just too short, rejoicing is in order as Fox has announced plans to continue the series for a second season. The series could also get an early back-nine order, Reilly said. Next May, Fox will release the fourth “Terminator” film which could make for some ideal corporate synegy should the TV series survive the fall. But trouble is brewing as The Green Goblin tries to kick Tombstone out of the Mr. Big spot in NYC. Don’t forget, this weekend on The Kids’ WB! the Rhino makes his debut on The Spectacular Spider-Man. I’m glad the TiVo is still recording this show for me as I’ll want to watch this one to see/hear Clancy Brown in the role of Rhino. Beginning this weekend (Saturday April 12), The Kids’ WB on The CW will broadcast a full hour of The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. The first half hour of the double dose block will be a repeat airing of older episodes. The complete schedule through the rest of April and a shot of J.J. getting strung up.

According to an interview over at Comics Continuum, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar – the executive producers of Smallville, have decided to leave the show in favor of focusing on major motion pictures. Don’t get too excited fanboys, I don’t think this means there is a Smallville film in the works; remember these are the same producing team that brought Spider-Man 2 to the big screen, so my guess is they are working on something really incredible.
