Over the last decade, statues have been fighting comic books and trade paperbacks for shelf space in the Major Spoilers Nerd Room of Doom. There’s something about a three dimensional sculpt that brings the four color character to life. But what good are these statues (limited run, mass produced, and so on), if you can’t share their beauty with others?
This week, we kick off a really long series of galleries of some of the statues in our vast collection, and we’re starting with the Women of the DC Universe.

Pop Culture Shock Collectibles has announced it is the newest licensor for 2000 A.D., and will bring Judge Dredd to life in a 1/4 scale statue. In case you are wondering, 1/4 scale is pretty damn big.
“I’ve been a big fan of the 2000 AD universe since my teenage years,” said Jerry Macaluso, President and Founder of Pop Culture Shock Collectibles. “At Pop Culture Shock Collectibles we only focus on properties we are passionate about, and this is definitely one of them. We are extremely excited to be working closely with Rebellion on this project and soon we will bring the ultimate representations of these iconic characters into collector’s homes”.
No word on price or release date, but the above teaser has us wondering what kind of awesome the company will deliver.

Kotobukiya has announced the upcoming release of its Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back Dark Vader ArtFX+ Statue, that follows the recent Boba Fett and Storm Trooper statues announced earlier.
Ruthless and powerful, Darth Vader stands at the ready with the knowledge that his mastery over the Force can overcome any enemy. His classic armored suit has every detail you’ve come to know and love since Empire Strikes Back was first released 30 years ago. Intricate sculpting brings out the different parts of his chest piece and belt module, while his gloves are accurately textured. Of course, the most attention to detail was put into recreating Vader’s helmet! Darth Vader has a standard stance standing tall with his hands at his belt, though he does come with bonus arm parts for alternate poses. And, like the other ARTFX+ Statues, he has magnets in his feet for display on the included base!
