SDCC’11: HOLY SH!T Legion of Superheroes and Star Trek crossover in October!

Talk about your Legion Lost! DC’s Legion and IDW’s Star Trek are having a huge crossover event!

This news came out of nowhere, and is sure to have more than a few people sit up and wonder just what in the heck is going on in the world of comics.  I must say, I’m rather impressed, and can not wait to dive into this six-issue mini-series.

The original Starship Enterprise has traveled across time and space on its five-year mission, but it will be entering the DC Universe for the first time this summer. IDW Publishing is proud to announce its first-ever crossover with DC Comics’ Super Heroes in STAR TREK/LEGION OF SUPERHEROES, a six-issue monthly series beginning in October 2011.

While there isn’t a press release announcing the new Chris Pine Kirk Maquette, there is a picture available, and I would bet you will spot this cool looking statue on the San Diego Comic Con show floor.

TOYS: Real Ghostbusters Minimates and more arrive July 06, 2011

Diamond Select Toys let us know that this week (July 06), the company will release the first series of The Real Ghostbusters Minimates that collects Ray Stanz, Egon Spengler, Slimer, and Janine Meinitz.  Also this week, look for the Mobile Action Xtreme (MAX) series, and Christopher Pike taking on a Salt Vampire.

Star Trek comics return to IDW Publishing

The Star Trek universe will never be the same following the events of the game-changing, blockbuster 2009 film. Beginning with STAR TREK #1 in September, IDW Publishing and CBS Consumer Products join forces with Star Trek writer/producer Roberto Orci to explore the vast implications of the alternate timeline created by the film in a new, monthly, ongoing comics series.
