30 Days of Night gets ongoing series from IDW Publishing

IDW Publishing today announced an all-new, ongoing 30 DAYS OF NIGHT comic book series, starting in October. Original co-creator Steve Niles returns to his first creation with this latest chapter in the 30 DAYS OF NIGHT series, joined by 30 Days of Night: Night, Again artist and The Maxx creator Sam Kieth. Niles and Kieth depict an epic story that shifts from Barrow, Alaska, to the city of angels, Los Angeles.
Conan gets bio comic from Bluewater Productions

Bluewater is pleased to announce a special comic book project featuring one of the most accomplished and well-known funnymen in American today, the one and only Conan O’Brien, quite possibly the most famous redhead alive. “FAME: Conan O’Brien” will be released in August 2011 and have a cover price of $3.99. The bio on the comedy star’s life will be written by CW Cooke and Patrick McCormack’s and drawn by Erick Adrian Marquez.
Crawl to Me arrives from IDW next week

Alan Robert, best known for being the bassist and creative force behind the respected hard rock group, Life of Agony, has formed a new film production company, called Wasted Talent Entertainment. The first project in the pipeline is a live-action film adaptation of Robert’s own horror/crime graphic novel, Wire Hangers. Robert created, wrote and illustrated the book last year, which was published by award-winning comics publisher, IDW Publishing (30 Days of Night, Locke and Key, Zombies Vs. Robots). IDW’s CEO, Ted Adams, is on board as the film’s Executive Producer, with Robert and ZAM Entertainment’s Jeff Mazzola (Descent, Under New Management, Kiss Me Again) attached as Producers. Teaser poster art for the film reveals Wire Hangers’ main character, Cypra, in full costume designed by Robert Hall of Almost Human FX (The Crazies, Paranormal Activity 2, Devil). 27 returns with second miniseries

Image Comics and Shadowline recently announced that 27, the first story arc of the sell out miniseries by writer Charles Soule (Strongman) and artist Renzo Podesta, will be followed by a second story arc. The second arc, 27: SECOND SET, will include more mysteries of rock and roll history, more of those talented and famous musicians that become legend, and more untimely deaths!
27: FIRST SET has wrapped up and is already on sale. This first collection includes issues 1-4 as well as a new 12-page backup story called “Crossroad Blues.”
