EVENTS: Last Day in Vietnam events planned in Portland

Next week sees the release of the brand-new hardcover edition of Will Eisner’s classic work Last Day in Vietnam. This beautiful new edition arrives in stores on March 6, on what would have been Will’s ninety-fifth birthday. In conjunction with the book’s release, there will be two Portland-based events in partnership with Dark Horse Comics and its sister company, Things From Another World, in support of Will Eisner Week, an annual celebration promoting graphic novels, literacy, free-speech awareness, and the legacy of Will Eisner.

SOLICITATIONS: Image Comics gets Ten Grand

The solicitations that went out the weekend of February 16th confirm the news: the relaunch of Joe’s Comics, the imprint that created Midnight Nation and Rising Stars, is officially underway with the first of what will be an entire line of new, original titles.

TEN GRAND, the first title to come out from Joe’s Comics, will be published by Image Comics and officially debut May 1st, with a convention variant to be unveiled at C2E2 in Chicago the week before.

SOLICITATIONS: IDW Publishing heads to Cybertron

IDW Limited announced its plan today to offer a deluxe limited edition of TRANSFORMERS: Art of the Fall of Cybertron. Based on the TRANSFORMERS brand from Hasbro, the book is a collection of the art and set descriptions for the smash-hit videogame of the same name, produced by High Moon Studios and published by Activision.
