Shocker Toys LLP were pleased to celebrate their 8th showing at the International Toy Fair in New York City (Booth 4947) on February 13-16, 2011 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

This year was the continuation of the 6 inch scaled Indie Spotlight action figure series, new characters coming to the posable vinyl figure series Mallows and a brand new 6 inch action figure series!

Shocker Toys announces new exclusives

The old saying goes, “If a door closes, a window opens.” Well, Shocker Toys’ latest announcement is living proof of that adage.

The ‘Closed Door’: Shocker’s Indie Spotlight Series One (The Maxx Series) is being retired. Several big retailers like Hastings and Toys R Us have bought almost all of the entire remaining product and no more of Series One will be produced. What’s the good news? WizWorld Philly ’09: Shocker Toys

Shocker Toys has announced that it is bringing The Maxx to Wizard World Philly June 19th through the 21st.

Sam Keith’s MTV The Maxx Exclusive will be ready to throw down at the Wizard show, and he ain’t no push over. Shocker Toys will have on hand MTV’s the Maxx fully poseable action figure with all painted highlights and his suit cast in translucent purple plastic. The Maxx will be featured with translucent purple suit parts and come with 2 heads and 3 Isz. These are limited edition figures with only 250 each produced and once gone will only become a highly sought after Indie Spotlight collectible.

Also on the line up of exclusives and premiers are 6-inch figures of ShadowHawk, SCUD, Kabuki, Katchoo and The Max from the company’s Indie Spotlight.

Action Figure Review: SCUD: The Disposable Assassin (Sol Variant)

It’s not often we review action figures on this site (we really need to do more of ‘em), but when a company sends us one for possible review, we’ll go ahead and give it workout. Shocker Toys has had its Indie Spotlight series out for a while, and its Maxx series includes the SCUD: The Disposable Assassin Sol variant figure.  Since it is in our hands, and out of the protective packaging, it’s up for review today.

Shocker Toys Announces SDCC’09 Exclusive

Shocker Toys sent Major Spoilers one of the figures from its Indie Spotlight Comic Book Heroes Series 1 figure (look for review soon), and they are already cranking out the Series 2 figures that features the Tick, Dick Tracy, Jack Staff and more. The figures are well made, and if you are looking for an indie hero to fight alongside your DC or Marvel figures, then you might want to check out Shocker Toys.

The B&W Dick Tracy Variant will be available ON SITE ONLY. The Dick Tracy B&W Variant will be produced ONLY for on site sales at SDCC ’09 and will not be made again. Preliminary estimates are that there will only be 250 of the B&W Variants available for purchase.

Shocker Toys Announces NYCC Exclusives

Shocker Toys will show up at the 2009 New York COmic Con with SCUD the Disposable Assassin and The Maxx action figures.

Very pleased will be the fans of Rob Schrab’s Scud and Sam Keith’s The Maxx. Shocker Toys LLP will have on hand SCUD the Disposable Assassin and MTV’s the Maxx in a translucent fully poseable action figure form. Each figure will come packaged with their regular Indie Spotlight accessories. Scud will be featured in a smokey translucent yellow with a translucent yellow Isz and interchangeable hands with 11mm guns. The Maxx will be featured in smokey translucent purple and come with 2 heads and 3 translucent purple Isz. These are limited edition figures with only 300 of each produced and once gone will only become a highly sought after collectible.

Shocker Toys Announce New Indie Comic Action Figures

Shocker Toys has been working closely with independent comic book creators to bring a new line of action figures to the market.

Indie Spotlight Comic Book Heroes: Series 1
Series 1 (Maxx Series) features Jim Valentino’s ShadowHawk, Rob Schrab’s Scud the disposable assassin, Terry Moore’s Katchoo of ‘Strangers in Paradise’, David Mack’s Kabuki and MTV’s The Maxx in 8”. Made of sturdy plastics and hyper-articulated joints, these figures can be posed in many ways. Each comes with extra hands, accessories, comics or posters and an Isz from the Maxx’s world. Collect all 7 figures and their UPC’s to mail away for a Mr. Gone figure, the sinister dark enemy of The Maxx.
