Back? What? You didn’t buy the books until after you see the movie? Check this international trailer that gives a better breakdown of what is going on in Scott Pilgrim’s life.
For those who long for the days of 8-bit, but want to remain cool and relevant in today’s society, the answer to all your woes comes in the form of the Scott Pilgrim video game. The trailer has finally been released, and you can check it out after the jump.

If you haven’t read the complete Scott Pilgrim series written by Bryan Lee O’Malley, and available from Oni Press, then you only have a few more months to get through it all, as Universal Pictures has started the countdown clock to the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie.
The movie studio announced last week that the Edgar Wright film will be released on August 13, 2010. The film stars Michael Cere, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Chris Evans, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead to name a few.
Sadly, my copies have long since disappeared since there’s one member of the Major Spoilers Crew who “borrowed” the copies and has flat out stated he will not be returning them to me.

Edgar Wright has been a busy director, posting more images from the set for everyone to enjoy. From what I’ve seen, I’m liking the overall look of the film, and the actors picked to play the roles are starting to grow on me.

With a bazillion people reading the Scott Pilgrim series, and the movie in production, it’s a pretty sure bet that merch will fly off the shelves when the movie hits. That is if Universal Studios Consumer Products Group can find someone to produce the clothing, accessories, action figures, novelties and whatnot.
When those figures do become available, I’m hoping they are the Bryan Lee O’Malley designs and not Michale Cera version.
