Being a fan of the show as a whole, though a few episodes have put me off, I was more than excited to jump into this comic. Does it hold up? Find out with your Major Spoilers review!

Or – “Superheroes-As-Celebrities Now Gets It’s Own Section In My Comics Library…” The story of Joule has, thus far, been interesting, positing a world much like our own, where superheroes compete to see who can get the best corporate sponsorships and Q-ratings. Now that the competition enters its final stage, will she be able to transition from wannabe to hero? Your Major Spoilers review awaits!
Or – “Where’s Seth Rogen?” It’s been quite a while since I’ve checked in with my favorite radio/pulp hero migrated to comics, so long that the last time I was in Hornet-ville, the hero had six or ten monthly books. With the movie version under-performing a couple of years ago, Britt and Kato are down to one regular monthly book, and there are some heavy happenings in Century City. What will happen to the Hornet legacy if there’s no one to carry the big green fedora? Your Major Spoilers review awaits!
If I offered you a drug that would give you super powers, would you take it? Assuming you believed it did what I said, how could you not? It worked for Underdog and Hourman. But what happens when the effects wear off? How far will you go in chasing that initial high? How much would you give up for that feeling of power? Find out after the jump.
Hacked coordinates. Rogue missiles. Carnivorous sea beasties. Giant tidal waves. Inter-office dating. What is happening to this world and how will the Justice League cope? Major Spoilers dives in! Also, Shazam!
In a world torn apart by never-ending war, only one thing can bring together people of all races, religions and nationalities. That thing? Volleyball! Veteran writer Brian Wood teams up with the young and talented artist Ming Doyle to deliver the latest Image debut, Mara #1, and Major Spoilers dutifully reviews it for you!
Robyn Hood has made it her business to beat King John at his own game. Sure, that might mean she has to enter an obviously rigged tournament designed to capture and potentially kill her, but she’s going to do it, dang-it! Will she escape John’s clutches or will she become his prisoner? Behold, your Robyn Hood review awaits!
After writing the Avengers for so long, Brian Michael Bendis is taking on the X-Men. So far, it has proven to be the go to X-book for new and old fans alike. The latest issue looks to be a clash between the past and present X-Men. Does it deliver? Major Spoilers has your review.
They are all heroes who had, or have, their own individual titles: Red Hulk, Punisher, Deadpool, Elektra, and Venom. Formed by General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, his team of Thunderbolts is charged with “cutting out evil like a cancer.” Can this group of loners fall in line while sharing the same red and black color scheme?
Or – “I Love How This Book Feels Like A Lost Silver Age Marvel Comic…” No matter what you think about Mike Allred (and he is, apparently, more controversial than I thought as a penciler) the idea behind this book is kinda delightful. The hand-picked backup concept gives credence to the idea that a group of second-tier heroes (and one dilettante) could stand in for the Fantastic Four, and Fractions’s character work made issue #1 a must-read for me. What’s in store for the FF in #2, and will the original Four return on time? Your Major Spoilers review awaits!
Or – “Comics From Another Time… When I was young, comic books were a bit different than what you read today. Sure, DC had just rebooted their entire universe, and Marvel was in the spasms of major change because of new ownership and… Actually, now that you mention it, you’re probably up to speed with that part. One thing was different, though: They could still mention Christmas by name on the cover of the big holiday celebration issues (and perhaps a surprise or two waited inside the books as well.) Your Major Spoilers Super Holiday Spectacular Retro Review awaits!
Adapting pre-existing properties into comics has always been a bit of a challenge. Sometimes it works, like with IDW’s Godzilla: Half Century War. Other times it fails miserably, like with IDW’s Mars Attacks: The Holidays. The problems can often occur in the process of trying to remain faithful to the source material while still still delivering an original story. Well Django Unchained avoids that problem completely by directly adapting the first draft of Quentin Tarantino’s new movie by the same name. Does movie script adapt well to comic format? Find out, after the jump.
The Joker’s long-awaited return has kicked into high gear. In a recent issue of BATMAN, the Joker claimed to know the civilian identities of all who Batman holds dear and promised to kill them all. In this “Death of the Family” tie-in issue, Jason Todd finds himself in one of Joker’s diabolical death traps. While Snyder’s BATMAN is a smash-hit, is this title worth your time? It’s time for another MAJOR SPOILERS review…
Or – “By The Honor Of Purple-Skull!” Sword of Sorcery is one of the most unusual titles in DC’s current line-up, combining a revamped version of the Princess of The Gemworld with futuristic tales of Beowulf, sharing only a sort-of medieval viewpoint between them. Of course, skilled execution can make anything work, but is this issue a razor-sharp sword or a broken shield of wood? Your Major Spoilers review (and possibly more tortured metaphors) await!
