Predator bike guarantees open lanes on the highway

If you want to freak out the guy in front of you while driving down the highway, then you’ll want to jump on this motorbike that’s been modified to look like a Predator.

This custom bike was designed by Pitstop Motors in New Jersey, and is fully functional – except for that nuclear bomb, and infrared eyesight thing…I bet this thing induces a few heart attacks as it speeds down the street.

Brody takes on Predators

Variety is reporting that actor Adrien Brody has been cast as the lead in Robert Rodriguez Predator movie relaunch.  This is quite a bit different than Arnold Schwartzenegger’s role from 1987.  Also starring in the movie will be Alice Braga, Danny Trejo, Walton Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, and Louiz Ozawa.

Predator is expected to hit theaters on July 9, 2010.

Robert Rodriguez Brings Machete to the Screen, Relaunches Predator Series

macheteposter.jpg

Variety is reporting Robert Rodriguez is taking the Machete trailer from his Grindhouse film, and turning it into a feature length movie.  Danny Trejo will play the lead character, with Rodriguez expected to start filming in June.

Machete is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator.

In addition to that bit of news, Variety also reports that the producer/director/editor/graphic artist/musician/grip/gaffer/catterer/fill in any other job Rodriguez does himself here has written the script for the relaunch of the Predator series for 20th Century Fox.  This I find really interesting, because the last round of Aliens vs. Predator didn’t totally suck balls, and in fact made quite a bit of money for the studio.

For now it looks like Rodriguez is only writing the Predator script.

Aliens vs. Predator 3?

avpr2.jpg

If you were totally blown away by the Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem trailer that featured all the blood splattering, body ripping, face melting action you really wanted in an Alien/Predator movie, you’ll be happy to know there are more sequels planned.

“I’d like to do another one but I’d like to do it in space. The next one either has to be more of the bridge after this and before ‘Alien,’ or you could do something after ‘Aliens,’ ” Greg [Strause] said, getting back to work. “We have a pretty finite ending to this, but we have a cliffhanger per se; it’s a setup.”

I suspect the sequels will get made only, and only, if Requiem does well in theaters, especially after the laughing joke that was the first AvP. Beyond a lot of dismemberment in this movie, which I can’t wait to see, what exactly is the story?

After bursting from a Predator’s chest at the end of the first flick, “Requiem” picks up with an Alien/Predator hybrid slaughtering several Predators. “The Predalien wreaks havoc and causes a different Predator ship — it’s actually a Predator scout ship in this case — to crash on Earth,” Greg explained. “You see a bunch of Predators get whacked at the beginning.”

avptrailer.jpg

Holy Crap!  If you thought the first Alien vs. Predator movie sucked balls, then you might just change your mind after seeing Aliens vs. Predator – Requiem.  The trailer is available from the official website, but word of warning, this is the RESTRICTED trailer, which means you’re going to see lots of heads exploding, acid melting body parts, and plenty of people getting it through the chest with blades attached to hands.
