There’s a very good chance we’ll get to see the new Dark Knight trailer that those lucky few got to see yesterday when it hits the internet sometime on Sunday. At least that is what is implied by Why So Serious’ updated website. There’s a pretty crappy version of the trailer already up on the YouTube, but it is the worst of the worst when it comes to pirated screen captures that I’m not even going to link to it as it is really that bad. Plus, I’m sure once WB Legal gets wind of the video, it will come…

I was really looking forward to a Peter Jackson Hobbit, but I think if I had to pick a second, Guillermo del Toro would be a good choice. Let’s just hope del Toro doesn’t insist on telling the tale in native Middle-earth with subtitles. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Guillermo del Toro is directing “The Hobbit” and its sequel, New Line Cinema announced Thursday. The 43-year-old filmmaker will move to New Zealand for four years to make the films back-to-back with executive producer Peter Jackson. Del Toro wrote and directed “Pan’s Labyrinth,” which earned six Oscar nominations in 2006 and won…

I think Frank Miller is high on the fumes from the making of The Spirit, because he now wants to direct the film adaptation of his own Hard Boiled comic that he wrote with art by Geoff Darrow. “I’m in love with directing,” he gushed. “I’ve found a way to expand my career. Comics and directing are really two sides of the same coin. That’s what Robert Rodriguez taught me…good drama is good drama.” Carl Seltz is a suburban insurance investigator, a loving husband, and devoted father. Nixon is a berserk, homicidal tax collector racking up mind-boggling body counts in…

I received the following email last night from Lt. Jim Gordon of the Gotham City Police Department. With the events spiraling out of last week’s hostage situation involving Harvey Dent, there is a lot of back story viewers of The Dark Knight might need to know to fully appreciate the upcoming flick. My friend, Indictments are about to be handed down. If you don’t want your name on one, we’ll need your full cooperation in an upcoming operation. In case you haven’t heard, we are struggling with a bit of corruption in the department. I’m not about to let the…

EW.com has the first images of the Watchmen action figures based on the upcoming Zack Snyder movie from Warner Bros. The figures look spectacular, I just hope they are truly action figures instead of nicely molded pieces of plastic that end up as inexpensive maquettes for those who can’t afford the real deal. If you happen to be in New York and are attending the New York Comic Con, DC Direct will unveil the first four prototypes on Friday, April 18. BTW: Both figures will arrive in stores in January 2009 with a price tag of $14.99. via EW.com
