Love it or hate it, the latest installment of Transformers has already set box office records for 2011. In its first full day of release, Transformers: Dark of the Moon has already brought in $37.315 million in box office sales, beating Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, as the biggest single day grosser for the year. MOVIE: Leonard Nimoy to provide voice in Transformers 3 flick

Remember when Leonard Nimoy said he was retiring from acting, then he showed up on Fringe?  Yeah… good times. Remember, after his appearances on Fringe, he said he was retiring again?  Turns out the script for Transformers: Dark of the Moon is so F-ing incredible that Nimoy has come out of retirement to provide the voice of Sentinel Prime.

This isn’t the first time the thespian (it’s another word for actor your giggling pervs!) has dipped his toes into the Transformers universe.  Those of you old enough to remember the 1986 movie already know that Nimoy voiced Galvatron in the movie that killed Optimus Prime on screen… oh, right… SPOILERS!  Too late?  Too bad. That movie came out 25 years ago.

We only have to wait until July 1st to see Transformers: Dark of the Moon in theaters.

TRAILER: Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon

The first trailer for Michael Bay’s third Transformers movie has arrived.  As usual, it is high on hype, with very little Transformers action.

Great… Now Richard Hoagland will have something else to talk about for the next year…

Michael Bay to produce TMNT live-action movie

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon have teamed with Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes for the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action movie that will reboot the franchise.  Writers have not been hired yet, though we should get news on that in a few weeks.   With Megan Fox out of the picture on Transformers 3, she might want to suck up to Bay to see if he’ll allow the director of the movie to hire her on as April O’Neil.

Who replaces Megan Fox in Transformers 3?

Deadline is reporting that Victoria’s Secret Model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been tapped to play the female lead in Transformers 3, replacing Megan Fox as the love interest.  Huntington-Whiteley’s IMDB credits are mighty impressive, racking up four – count them FOUR – spots in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and one episode (as herself) in Britain’s Next Top Model.  With these impressive credits to her name, I’m sure she’s going to surpass anything Megan Fox could bring to table.

I think at this point, Transformers 3: Shark Tank’s Revenge, needs to be a direct to VHS release…
