Dynamite Entertainment has announced that Green Hornet writer Matt Wagner has also been hired to provide the cover art for The Green Hornet: Year One.
“It’s no secret that I’m big fan of the GREEN HORNET and these sort of pulp-laden adventure stories in general,” says new cover artist and writer Matt Wagner. “When I first agreed to take on the writing chores for THE GREEN HORNET: YEAR ONE, I was thrilled to be able to help redefine the somewhat vague origins of this highly influential and dynamic character. And now I also get the chance to contribute some original imagery to the series as well! The Hornet and Kato are such a striking and visually dramatic duo, it’s gonna be a blast lending my artistic talents to help showcase the stories that Aaron Campbell and I will be telling inside the book. Mid-Ohio-Con announced today that creator Matt Wagner has joined the guest roster for Mid-Ohio-Con 2010. “Matt’s work on indie and mainstream characters alike has received critical acclaim and cultivated a huge fan base for the virtuoso creator during his 20+ year career in comics. We’re thrilled to welcome Matt as a special guest for our 30th anniversary show,” said James Henry, Managing Director of Mid-Ohio-Con.
