Is this the end of Ultimate Spider-Man?
I don’t want to give the answer away too early in the review, because 1) I want you to click on the More link, and 2) it’s pretty tacky to talk about the end before all the other goodness is covered.

I doubt the coming event in the 616 is going to be as universe ending as in Ultimate universe, but Norman Osborn is set to reveal is master plan for Marvel in 2010, and it begins with The List series.
The List. This eight-issue limited series, comprised of eight double-sized specials, leads Marvel fans to the changes in store for the world’s most popular super heroes! The Iron Patriot decides there are things wrong with the world, things that need to be handled and when he’s done, the stage is set for the biggest comic book event of the next decade! It all begins in September with the first three The List issues—Avengers, Daredevil and X-Men!
I didn’t intend it, but this week turned into a Women of the Marvel Universe themed Art Appreciation Moment of the Day. Thought it would be fitting to end the week with the first lady of Marvel – Sue Storm done by the late great Mike Wieringo.
We’ll kick the morning off with the final promo bit from Marvel hyping the coming Fantastic Four #570. This time with the John Cassaday sketch variant.
Or – “At What Point Did Cyclops Become Bad-A$$?”

So, there’s a war brewing in San Francisco, with the mutants on one side, and a cadre of “reformed” villains led by Norman Osborn on the other side, as well as a rogue faction in the form of Emma Frost’s Dark X-Men. Norman Osborn is counting on his position with the government to give him the edge he needs to put down Scott Summers and his people as easily as he put down Tony Stark and the Avengers. Of course, Tony Stark didn’t spend his entire teen and adult life as an outcast and an outlaw, and Tony Stark has seldom been the one with his back to the wall. (Tony Stark also doesn’t have big red eye-lasers comin’ outta his face, but, anyway… Bygones.)
I’m gonna set this one loose in the wild and see if it survives the roaming pack of wild Major Spoilerites that grace these plains.
As part of the build up to issue #570, Marvel has released the variant cover for the issue.

Marvel sent over the new logo that will be adorning the cover of the Fantastic Four covers beginning with #570. In the words of Rodrigo, “I like it”. It works for a four member team, but let’s hope they don’t try to do the same thing with The Avengers.
Or – “How Do You Follow Up A Huge Anniversary Issue?”

Some people would go with a high-speed storyline rocketing you into the future, showing the new direction and showcasing what the new character(s) are going to be doing. Marvel took a different approach with this issue, looking backward to the original Captain America in a World War II setting. Question is: does it WORK?
For those that haven’t seen it, here’s the video game trailer for the upcoming Iron Man 2 video game.
I gotta say, I like the art style in this trailer for the upcoming Planet Hulk animated movie from Marvel.
Thanks for the heads-up Stacy B!
