As I prepare to tackle the last unpacking project in the Major Spoilers HQ – hey, we’ve only been here for the last seven years – I find myself facing a wall of unboxed statues and life-size prop replicas. Something is gonna give in the next three months, which means eBay sales abound! In the mean time, with only two options (because this is a black or white, with no shades of gray, and remember a non-vote is the same as a no vote, and that makes the baby jeebus cry) what would you rather have in your comic book…
This week on the Munchkin Minute – Dragons, blister packs, and BATMAN!
In this installment of The Want List – Superman statue stands tall, Garden Gnomes are ready to beam up, and two life-size Hulkbuster statues.

Recently, McDonald’s unveiled a new look for their sorta-beloved Hamburglar character, one that has been described as low-rent, creepy and reminiscent of porn parody films. Indeed, there’s a community theatre sort of look to the character now, as though somebody intentionally tried to look like somebody slapping together a Hamburglar costume at the last minute for a party. News broke this week that Harry Shearer (who voices Mr. Burns, Smithers, Ned Flanders, Reverend Lovejoy, Kent Brockman, Dr. Hibbert, Lenny, Principal Skinner, Otto the bus driver, Rainier Wolfcastle and others) has left the voice cast of ‘The Simpsons’ after… I dunno, something like eleventy skabrillion years? Or at least since 1989, a time when Stephen and I were fresh-faced teens leaving for college, excited at the prospects of adult life. Now, we’re old, and facing the prospect of Simpsons episodes with either 30% fewer cast members or recasting of some of seriously iconic voices. Sure, I’m happy that Maurice…
Zach voices his disappointment and frustrations after watching 50 Shades of Grey with a lot of talk about documentaries thrown in. It’s all happening this week on Zach on Film!
With the first trailers for Supergirl officially out (you should go check it out, if you haven’t) and it seems to have a lot of the requisite familiar Supergirl things. Jimmy… Sorry, James Olsen puts in an appearance, Linda seems very Linda-like, and the references to her famous cousin (the thing I most worried we wouldn’t get) are upfront and overt. With some adjustments for live-action, it seems like a pretty faithful adaptation of the Silver/Bronze Age version of the character, but there are a few things that I’m still wanting to see, leading us to today’s rocketed-from-a-dead-planet query… The…
