Dynamite Entertainment sent Major Spoilers the cover images and solicitation information for titles arriving in September 2011.
If you are an avid/rabid fan of Kevin Smith, you’ve probably seen the Original Media Facebook page announcing an open call for people to get in on a new reality television series focusing on the New Jersey comic book store. Smith confirmed the television reality series and announced it would be on AMC TV via his Twitter feed.
Now, while it will be cool to see the store and people running the store and interacting with customers, it looks like the recent Pawn Stars/Pickers reality boom is finding its way to the comic book market.
We’re also looking for people in the Tri-state area with cool, unique, rare, or otherwise awesome comic book/movie memorabilia. It’s Pawn Stars for Fanboys, and if you have something to sell/trade/or value, we want you to bring it to us! Must be available in Red Bank, NJ on either June 2nd or June 3rd AND one additional day between June 14th – 16th.
Will be very interesting to see what people bring in. I hope someone brings in a long box of X-Men #1 from the ’90s and be told the entire box is only worth $5.00. The show is being produced by the same group that does Swamp People and Ink.

Press Release
Dynamite Entertainment is pleased to announce the latest legendary characters to join Dynamite’s roster of incredible properties – The Bionic Man and The Bionic Woman! Licensed by NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group, both characters became pop culture icons in the 1970′s with their popular television programs! After last year’s critically and commercially successful collaboration on the Green Hornet, Kevin Smith and Dynamite Entertainment are reuniting once again, with the creative team that brought the flagship Green Hornet series to fans; Phil Hester, Jonathan Lau, and Alex Ross on covers! The Bionic Man is based on the Universal Television Series “The Six Million Dollar Man.”
Kevin Smith has a huge fan base. Some of them are haters, and some of them are lovers… And some probably take their adoration for the writer/director a bit too far. At least that is the premise of the upcoming Kidnapping Kevin Smith from new comic publisher Pathetic Aesthetic Comics.
UPDATE: Take the jump for a sneak peek of the issue!

Kevin Smith is about to venture into new territory – the horror genre. Red State just finished principal photography, and Smith has just cut his first draft film, which he hopes to have finished in time for the Sundance Film Festival. Since no distributor has been found for the film, this teaser poster should attract someone’s attention.

With a first cut of the film complete, could a teaser be close behind?

Dynamite Entertainment has announced that Greg Horn is joining the short list of artists who have provided art for the company’s Green Hornet series. Horn will provide the cover art for Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet beginning with issue #8.
“It is great to be back with old friends at Dynamite Entertainment, especially now that I am working on projects like Green Hornet,” says cover artist Greg Horn. “It’s always refreshing to collaborate with people who are really open to new ideas, and I plan to try out all my latest concepts and techniques throughout Dynamite’s comic books!”

I think Kevin Smith may have topped himself in Batman: The Widening Gyre #6 that arrived in stores this week. Smith is known for his off kilter style of humor filled with dick and fart jokes, but he may have taken it a bit too far according to some, as he takes a piss on Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One.
