It’s Friday, and if you were paying attention you noticed there wasn’t a sneak peek from Image yesterday. That’s because the company sent us so many sneak peeks this week that it spilled over to today, giving you plenty to gawk at as you slide into the weekend. Alien Pig Farm, Ward of the State, The Ride, and Dynamo 5 are just a few you can feast your eyes on after the jump.
Image Comics has announced Tech Jacket, the first series by Invincible and Walking Dead writer Robert Kirkman, will be collected in a trade paperback. Tech Jacket tells the story of Zack Thompson, an ordinary teenager until his family was thrust into the center of an alien civil war. As usual when these things happen, Zack was fused against his will with a battle vest capable of granting him power far beyond those of mere mortals. “Tech Jacket has always been a big favorite of mine,” Kirkman says. “Zack’s not like a typical comic book teenager. He’s far from a big
Once again Image delivers the goods in the form of a bunch of sneak peeks for your Thursday pleasure. This week’s installment features previews of Invincible, The Walking Dead, Death Dealer, and the Weird World of Jack Staff.
If you can’t get enough Invincible, check out Robert Kirkman’s Capes Volume One: Punching the Clock. “While I’ve got my own personal sandbox of super-toys in Invincible, I ended up creating too many to fit in the box,” Kirkman explained. “The page of CAPES includes its own mammoth cast with their own personal dramas that deserved their own spotlight as opposed to the background of someone else’s book. I love this genre too much to limit it to just one title!” Sounds good to us Robert! Capes tells the story of Heroes on payroll who must punch the clock, take

Or – “The Calm Before The Storm Before The Even Bigger Storm…” After yesterday’s apocalyptic epic tale of destruction, conflict, death, (Contrary to my inital report, Marvel says that 53 people died during the course of the battle, including 6 costumed superheroes. I fear for Nighthawk.) and crying Captain Americas, I feel the need to purge, to cleanse the palate with a nice fruity sorbet, as Wayne Campbell might put it. And nothing’s better to get the taste of ashes and broken friendships out of your mind than some nice, straightforward storytelling. When I want a breath of fresh air, I pick
When Image Comics sends us the sneak peeks, it goes all out. Six, count-em SIX previews ranging from Impaler #3 all the way to Elephantmen #7, and a whole lot in between. Some are outstanding, some are NSFW, but they all look good.
