Industry luminaries and professionals will present the voting results from the annual Inkwell Awards at the inking advocacy group‘s live awards ceremony during their new host show, the Great Philadelphia Comic Con!, in Oaks, PA.
The Inkwell Awards invites everyone to vote for the industry’s best of the year. The official public ballot will be available on the Inkwells’ homepage from February 15 through March 1.
After 10 years, the Inkwell Awards, a non-profit organization devoted to public education and promotion of the art of comic-book inking, has changed its nomination procedure for its annual awards. For the first time, ink artists (“inkers”) are now invited to submit their work for consideration.

The Inkwell Awards, began its 10th season anniversary by electing artists Aldrin Aw (aka Buzz) and Pat Broderick as new creator ambassadors to help further the group’s mission of public promotion, education and recognition of the art form of inking and ink artists in the US comic book industry.

PRESS RELEASE: The Inkwell Awards has released the names of the winners of its ninth annual awards for excellence in the art form of comic book inking. As before, nominees were chosen by a separate and independent nomination committee. Voting via live ballot at the non-profit advocacy’s website ran from April 15-30. One winner was chosen in each of five categories based on American-based interior comic-book work cover-dated 2015.

This season they have an additional “spin-off” Challenge program, The Sinnott Inking Challenge Spotlight, which focuses on the pencil art of award-winning creator and DC comics co-publisher, Jim Lee.
