Or – “I’m Always Pleasantly Surprised When This One Doesn’t Get Cancelled…” The original ‘I… Vampire’ series fell right in the time when I was first exposed to comics, a time when I would buy anything stapled at the spine, regardless of content or genre.  I vaguely remember those stories as the standout tales from the House of Mystery issues of my youth, and I was very impressed by the launch of Andrew Bennett’s revived book in the New 52.  Will this origin issue continue to impress?  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

Or – “Titles With Commas Are Harder To Alphabetize…” Part of me wanted to dismiss this book as nothing more than an attempt to cash in on the post-Twilight vampire proliferation, but then I remember how good the original run of “I, Vampire” was back in the day.  To put this in perspective:  With the sole exception of the issue featuring ‘The Poster Plague,’ I do NOT own an issue of House of Mystery that doesn’t feature I, Vampire or Dial H For Hero (and those Dial H issues are usually too spendy for my comic spending habits.)
