Press Release The sizzling collaboration between IDW Publishing and HBO heats up again! Proving that there are helpings yet to be had in this buffet of twisted Southern hospitality called TRUE BLOOD, comics luminaries Ann Nocenti, Michael McMillian, and Michael Gaydos are joining forces with series creator Alan Ball to take readers on a brand-new ride through the supernatural underbelly of Bon Temps, Louisiana, in an all-new ongoing series beginning in May.
I’m kind of glad I’ve waited to watch the first season of HBO’s Game of Thrones, because now I’ll won’t have a huge wait for season two. And if the HBO trailer is any indication, this is going to great.
While I haven’t read the original Game of Thrones books, and have only seen half of the first season of the HBO series, I’m loving what Dynamite Entertainment is doing with their Game of Thrones adaptation. There’s a lot of Game of Thrones stuff all over the place (including merchandise from Dark Horse Comics), and now HOB, Atlus, and Cyanide Studios are working on a RPG game based on the television series. The game arrives next year on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Press Release One of the most popular and critically acclaimed cable television shows of 2011 was Game of Thrones, created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss for HBO. The hit series is based on A Song of Ice and Fire, the best-selling fantasy novel series by George R. R. Martin.
Press Release Since the first issue launched in July of 2010, the TRUE BLOOD comic books have become one of IDW Publishing’s most popular titles. In an effort to give Truebies what they crave – more Sookie, Bill and Eric – continuously through the year, IDW and HBO will launch the first-ever ongoing TRUE BLOOD comic series in spring 2012, featuring new series installments each month.
