Though DC, Warner Bros. AND The CW have said we won’t see any super powered villains in the upcoming Arrow series, it does look like the studio has figured out a way to get some well known villains into the show.

Deadline is reporting that The CW has found its Green Arrow for the upcoming Arrow pilot. Stephen Amell will play the billionaire vigilante who fights crimes with a bow and arrow.
David Nutter is directing the pilot, written/executive produced by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim. Amell is a familiar face at the CW, where he has done arcs on The Vampire Diaries and 90210.
Since the pilot hasn’t been filmed, there’s no word if Amell will become a more familiar face to comic book fans, or not.
