NEW 52 REVIEW: Aquaman #1

In recent years, there have been numerous efforts to inject the character of Aquaman with some chutzpah. Arthur is the King of Atlantis, one would think he’d be entitled to some dignity. Instead, he’s been the brunt of ridicule for a long stretch of his career. But this is a new universe, offering the titular hero one last opportunity to be embraced by comics fandom. Does this first issue simply tread water?

NEW 52 REVIEW: Green Lantern #1

I haven’t read a Green Lantern title since Kyle Rayner had the ring and Hal Jordan was as dead as Barry Allen and Bucky Barnes put together. Does this re-introduction to Green Lantern have me swearing an oath to read it every month or swearing off comics for good?

DUELING REVIEW: Justice League #1

The big event is here! DC is putting a great deal of effort and resource into the relaunch/renumbering of all of its titles. With the end of Flashpoint #5, it’s time to turn our attention to Justice League #1, the place where the New 52 begins. TALK BACK: Justice League #1
