STATUES: Gentle Giant announces first quarter release schedule
Gentle Giant Studios has a slew of new statues coming our way in 2012, including a bunch of high quality Star Wars and Marvel statues. The company sent the release schedule for the statues shipping in the first quarter of 2012, so if you haven’t ordered (or even if you have), you’ll know when the items are shipping.

Gentle Giant, Ltd., the company behind many of the really great Star Wars statues, have announced Amber, Jamie Chung’s character from the upcoming Sucker Punch movie, has been turned into a statue.
Slave Leia maquette comes with adult warning
Well here is something I didn’t expect to see for at least another six months – the Slave Leia animated maquette. Yup, it’s the tooned up version of the Star Wars heroine in her costumes that inspired many a fanboy fantasy. It’s from Gentle Giant, the same group that is making the other Star Wars animated statues
This version of Leia has been, by far, the most requested character in Gentle Giant’s Star Wars Animated series. Cast in high-quality polystone, this limited edition statue comes hand-numbered, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
This is all well and good for the $85 statue, but it does come with an adult warning – not for the fantasies the statue might inspire, but the because of the pointy bits (the statues, not yours).

The Mighty Thor (action figure) Returns!
Diamond Select Toys has announced the latest incarnation of Thor will make it into the Marvel Select line in March.
