On the Next Major Spoilers Podcast – LIVE SHOW – DC RELAUNCH

We’re making a change to the Major Spoilers Podcast this week.  Instead of a regular show, we will be doing a live show, featuring your call ins!

DC Comics has released the complete solicitations for September that features all of the new issues coming from the company.  Here is your chance to call in and talk with us about the changes.

We’ll also have other topics for discussion, as well as an open line time that you can call in to talk about anything and everything.

The show will stream live on Ustream, and we will have the show embedded on the front page of the site.  You’ll be able to call the Major Spoilers Hotline at (785) 727-1939.  We expect to start the stream around 8:30 PM (CDT) with the actual show beginning sometime soon after.

We hope you can join us, and we hope you enjoy the show.

It looks like DC is getting ready to reboot the entire DC Universe (Again), and it got us thinking to one of the previous times DC attempted to clean up the continuity mess created from years of storytelling. Imagine that, somehow, the adventures of Superman were drawing to a close, never to begin again. This is that final tale: one of the most dramatic Superman stories ever, in which the Man of Steel makes a last stand against Lex Luthor, Brainiac, and other foes, with allies including Supergirl and Krypto at his side. ON THE NEXT MAJOR SPOILERS PODCAST: Issue #300 – LIVE!

This week, on the Major Spoilers Podcast, join Matthew, Stephen, and Rodrigo during a live stream of their 300th show (a couple of weeks late). The show will still have the same format as you usually expect from your weekly dosage of Major Spoilers, but with a few surprise guests, and most importantly, you will be able to call in live!

The stream SHOULD start around 9:00 PM CDT (adjust for your time zone), and you can check out the stream live on Ustream, or right here on the website. The Chat Room will be live on Ustream, and your hosts will be updating (and watching) Twitter as well.

A scout with information for Okko is murdered and consequently their path crosses that of two sinister monks bearing on their tengai a raven emblem, symbol of dark foreboding! The group sets off to the monasteries to investigate this mysterious brotherhood…

After co-creating comic book heroes including The Fantastic Four and The Hulk, legendary writer/artist Jack Kirby came to DC Comics in 1970 to write and illustrate four interlocking series known collectively as “The Fourth World.”

Now, for the first time, DC collects these four series — THE NEW GODS, THE FOREVER PEOPLE, MISTER MIRACLE and SUPERMAN’S PAL JIMMY OLSEN — in chronological order as they originally appeared. These comics spanned galaxies, from the streets of Metropolis to the far-flung worlds of New Genesis and Apokolips, as cosmic-powered heroes and villains struggled for supremacy.

Volume 1 features the debuts of Orion of the New Gods, the evil Darkseid, super-escape artist Mister Miracle and many others. It also features numerous appearances by Superman.

Nerdtacular 2011: Major Spoilers to sponsor Frogpants event for 2011
