SOLICITATIONS: Francesco Francavilla to take over for David Aja on Hawkeye
When an artist has been knocking it out of the park on a title it is sad to watch them leave, but what if an equally as talented artist were to fill that spot? Not it’s not as sad. Well put away your tissues because even though David Aja is taking a two issue break from Hawkeye, Black Bettle creator Francesco Francavilla will be taking over the art duties!

I love Francesco Francavilla’s work. If you’ve been reading this site for any amount of time, it is probably obvious as the artist shows up on the Art Appreciation Moment of the Day as often as, if not more than, Adam Hughes. Some of my favorite stuff Mr. Francavilla does deals with the pulp heroes, and his cover to Masks is mind blowing.

I originally got hooked on his Pulp Sunday blog where he would post all sorts of pulpy related art, including his original creation Black Beetle. Today, Mr. Francavilla has announced that Black Beetle is getting a mini-series that arrives in January 2013 from Dark Horse Comics.
