Looks like the SyFy Channel has had enough of the Eureka series, as the cable network has decided not to renew the series for another season. To rub salt into the wound, SyFy has also decided not to order the final six-episodes that were promised/talked about a few weeks ago.

Seems like that teen vampire movie based on that teen book with the apple on the cover isn’t just taking over the real world, the kids in Eureka are pretty crazy about it too. And it looks like Zoe’s daydreams of finding her Mister Right in school where she doesn’t fit in is about to go terribly wrong.
Arriving in stores this week is the next Eureka mini-series from creators Andrew Cosby and Jaime Paglia. Unlike a few other sites that don’t honor embargos, we did wait until today to bring you this sneak peek of the in continuity series written by Dukes of Hazzard scribe Jonathan L. Davis.

Since its debut on the Sci-Fi Channel, my wife and I have been fans of Eureka. When Boom! Studios announced it was bringing one of the highest rated cable series to comic form, I knew it was something worth checking out. The first issue doesn’t arrive until February 4, 2009, but Major Spoilers is able to bring you an early review of the series that fills the space between seasons.
I’m surprised this comic wasn’t done sooner as Andrew Cosby is a co-creator of the Eureka television series on the Sci-Fi Channel, and co-founder of Boom! Studios.

The comic is written by EUREKA co-creator Andrew Cosby and Brendan Hay, who is best known for his work on THE DAILY SHOW WITH JOHN STEWART, THE SIMPSONS and FRANK TV.
