Raise the Dead #2 Poster Coming Soon

Dynamite Entertainment let us know the cover to Raise the Dead #1 will be turned into a poster. The artwork is done by Painter Arthur Suydam, who many of you know from Marvel Zombies and the Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness. This image is a great zombie version of a classic moment in Americana. While I’m not sure I’d hang this in my office, I know the guy down the hall will be picking up a couple for gifts. The poster will be available in July for $7.99. Take the jump for the full image.

Dynamite Entertainment announced Javier Greillo-Marxuach will be wrapping up the four issue mini-series Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse this May. Who is he? Perhaps you need to put down the comic books and turn on your television and catch an episode or two of Lost and Medium, both of which Javier has written and produced. “Cylon Apocalypse has been a wild viper ride — a basestar-shattering, Cylon-smashing adventure that allowed me to bring some of my wildest dreams of the Classic Universe to sequential life,” said Javier. “As the series reaches its final chapter, I hope that fans of Classic Battlestar…

Connor V. Duncan… To the Death!

Is another comic character death just around the corner? Dynamite Entertainment sent us the covers for May’s Highlander #8 pitting Connor MacLeod against his cousin Duncan MacLeod. Personally, I liked the first Highlander movie, and enjoyed the heck out of the Highlander television series and to see the stories continue in comic form is pretty cool. Michael Avon Oeming and Brandon Jerwa have spent time making sure the comics and movies tie in with one another, and this most recent arc explores that connection even further. More and the four covers after the jump.

Remember way back in the day when you could win free art from your favorite comic? I never did win, but it was sure fun thinking about the day I could hang up my very own Batman art that I didn’t have to drop a dime on. Today, of course, I spend waaaay too much on original art and wish those contests would come around again. My wait is over as Dynamite Entertainment has announce a new contest where one lucky fan will get a chance to add an original page of New Battlestar Galactica art to their collection. Take…

As Popular as Fresh Brains

Zombies are all the rage, and raging zombies are even better. Word from Dynamite Entertainment is it has a hot zombie title that takes place smack dab in the middle of a full on zombie infestation. But unlike “those other zombie titles”, Dynamite has a twist. Issue #2 is scheduled to hit stores in April and follows a band of survivors as they move from the land of the undead to the bowels of a research laboratory. There, the group encounters Dr. Jones, who could save everyone or kill all remaining humanity. The covers for these issues look great, and…
