I got a kick out of Cameron Stewart’s work in the most recent Batman and Robin issue, so it makes sense to feature the black and white art today.

This week on the Major Spoilers Podcast, the gang takes a look at the first Elseworld’s book released by DC; Batman: Holy Terror. Twenty-two years after the death of his parents, Bruce Wayne has moved on and is planning to join the clergy, when he is visited by his friend James Gordon. Gordon was the inquisitor who was investigating Thomas and Martha Wayne’s murder, and has come to tell Bruce the truth about what happened. According to Kryptonsite, Max Lord will appear in episode 19 of this season’s Smallville. It’s unclear at this point if he will be a good guy, or a bad guy. Considering the Junior Lifeguard Association is still forming, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him as the financier for the group, and later to be revealed to be working for Pam Grier’s Checkmate. “Charade” is expected to air in April. via Kryptonsite

Or – “Blackest Do Whut Now?” The fascinating thing about the Secret Six Blackest Night tie-in is how naturally the subject of death fits into the ongoing lives of these killers and thieves and reprobates. Deadshot’s ties to the Suicide Squad alone accounts for a couple of dozen ambulatory corpses, and that’s before we even consider the nigh-immortal Scandal an Jeannette’s body counts. The appearance of walking corpses here is disturbing, sure, but for some reason it seems to fit right into the characters lives…
Specifically issue #2 of the series, according to Geoff Johns. “Brightest Day’ is about second chances. I think it’s been obvious from day one that there are major plans for the heroes and villains from Aquaman to take center stage in the DC Universe, among many others, post-Blackest Night. ‘Brightest Day’ is not a banner or a vague catch-all direction for the DC Universe, it is a story. Nor is ‘Brightest Day’ a sign that the DC Universe is going to be all about ‘light and brighty’ superheroes. Some second chances work out…some don’t.†via The Source
