Or – “I’m Starting To Think We’re Just Vamping Til The Movie…” I prepared for this review by trying to remember what I could about Hal’s adventures since Blackest Night and I came to a pretty amazing conclusion… I can’t remember much of anything. With the adventures of the Green Lanterns spread out through this book, GLC, GL: Emerald Warriors, Brightest Day and such, I don’t exactly know what the status quo is for Mr. Jordan. I do know that last issue’s cliffhanger struck me exactly the wrong way, with the concept of a possessed Flash more ludicrous than scary,…

DC Comics released a sneak peek of Paul Dini and Cliff Chiang’s Zatanna #8 that features the title character experiencing Pupaphobia…
DC Comics is getting ready to hibernate for the remainder of the year (holiday times at companies are so much fun), but before the break, the company teased us with the question “What Lantern will join the Justice League of America next Spring?” Well, who is it going to be? To stir the pot a little bit, notice the question didn’t ask which GREEN Lantern will join the JLA, simply what Lantern. Intardwebz Speculation Engine Go! via The Source
From Brave and the Bold #64 – Batman takes the time to humiliate someone famous. I don’t know what is more disturbing, the fact that Batman is smiling while spanking, or that he’s smiling for the camera. via Dateline: Silver Age
I have now found a new way to occupy my time while avoiding homework and the rantings of my mother… Hot Chicks in Batman Shirts. I’m going to be busy for the rest of the week…doing things… important… things… I won’t be spending time trolling through this site that features girls in various bits of clothing with the Batman logo on them. via Hot Chicks in Batman Shirts
Photos from the set of Extreme Comixxx’s “The Justice League XXX: An Extreme Comixxx Parody” have hit the Interwebnetz, and we were able to snag our own to share with the Major Spoilerite Nation. I was mildly surprised to see Ron Jeremy as The Penguin, ’cause I either didn’t read the press release, or smoked a little too much and it fell out of my head. And yes kids, he certainly pulls off the DeVito Penguin look very well. Take the jump to see everyone from Superman to Zatanna in our Safe For Work behind the scenes gallery.
The Dark Knight Rises is getting ready to go before the lens, and Christopher Nolan is keeping everything as hush-hush as possible in regards to the storyline. While we can’t completely rule out that Hush won’t appear, the Intardwebz is firmly behind Doctor Hugo Strange and the Doug Moench Legends of the Dark Knight: Prey storyline as the inspiration for the movie. As the anticipation for the film grows, what better time to examine the story arc than now?
With all the talk circulating around Doctor Hugo Strange as the big bad in the third Christopher Nolan Batman film, and the recent reveal that Dr. Strange is the heavy in the Batman: Arkham City trailer, it seems pretty clear that the psychologist is going to get a fair amount of attention in the coming years. The rumor has Nolan basing his Dark Knight Rises on the 1990 Prey storyline from Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, so what better time to examine the arc than now? And what better way to check the availability of the series than by…
Or – “Why You Should Never Believe The Solicitations…” From DC Comics previews of this issue: “Forced to face the reality that his best friend Ted Kord is never coming back from the dead, Booster Gold withdraws from reality by running home to his original time and place. Unfortunately, once home, he’s arrested for the theft of the Time Sphere that allowed him to become Booster Gold in the first place!” Everybody got that? Good, now forget it, ‘cuz that doesn’t happen in this issue.
I sure as heck hope my mother doesn’t see this, I plan on doing this exact same thing to get out of an extended family visit this holiday season. Yeah, Batman and Robin got nothing on Newman and Redford.
DC Comics has released a sneak peek of Birds of Prey #7 that features the story “The Death of Oracle”.
If you are wondering what the Batmen of the world will be doing on their time off, here’s proof that Wayne Industries owns a timeshare and gives its employees the royal treatment.

This trailer for Batman: Arkham City is so full of awesome, it wouldn’t surprise me if elements of this game weren’t already influencing the third Christopher Nolan Batman film (or vice versa considering Hugo Strange’s appearance).
