According to Nielsen Research Media, The Spectacular Spider-Man scored high for a Saturday morning rating time slot. The premiere episode scored a 1.2/3 household rating, a 20 percent gain over the same time period a year ago, and marked a 25 percent growth in the Kids 2-11 demographic compared to a week previous. Even more interesting is the second episode in the back to back premiere scored a 1.4/5 mark for the 2-11 demographic. What does all this mean? Could Lori Lemaris be the love interest to replace Lana Lang in the next Season of Smallville? We’ve already been introduced to Smallville’s version of Aquaman, so another underwater character wouldn’t be too much of a shock. But talk about jumping the shark – or mermaid in this case. If you need further convincing; consider Lori Lemaris is another character with the initials LL. via TV Guide

The CW has announced it will pick up Smallville for an eighth season, which is great news for everyone, but bad news for me, as I haven’t even finished season 6. For some reason, there’s no word on Reaper getting re-upped, which is a bummer, as I really like that show. Yes, this post is nothing more than an excuse to post some pictures of some of my favorite CW hotties. Take the jump for a pic of my favorite hottie of all time.

Not sure how I feel about this. While I like the Black Canary character, the tarted up 80s punk style they have going for BC in CW’s Smallville doesn’t seem right. Lose the Priss makeup (that’s a Blade Runner reference folks), give her a long blond wig, and things will fall into place. Check out the YouTube trailer and weigh in with your own opinion.
