Depending on where you are living, and in what time zone, The CW’s premiere of Arrow just wrapped, and it is time for you to flood the comment section with your thoughts.
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

The station that brought you Smallville is back for more superheroy goodness with a Green Arrow series conveniently named Arrow. CW has released a few clips here and there of the upcoming series, but today we have a new, full trailer for your viewing pleasure.
I’m intrigued enough about Arrow that I will definitely be setting the DVR on October 10 to catch the first episode.
Joss Whedon’s acclaimed “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day,” will make its television debut on Tuesday, October 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) on The CW.
The CW is teasing Arrow pretty hard at the San Diego Comic-Con, and we’re seeing more clips and pics arrive for the show. From what I hear, early reactions to the show are positive, but I’m going to reserve judgement until I have a chance to see it for myself on October 10, 2012.
The broadcast network premiere of the new half-hour special on the history and evolution of the Batmobile – THE BATMOBILE – will air on Monday, July 16, 8:00-8:30pm ET on The CW. An encore of the special will air from 8:30-9:00pm ET.
Warner Bros. Entertainment is the key to excitement at Comic-Con! The Studio has once again created a set of limited-edition collectible hotel keycards, which will be in use at top hotels throughout the San Diego area during Comic-Con 2012. This marks the fifth consecutive year for the popular room key program, giving fans instant access to a usable — and collectible — piece of artwork.
Though DC, Warner Bros. AND The CW have said we won’t see any super powered villains in the upcoming Arrow series, it does look like the studio has figured out a way to get some well known villains into the show.
If you have seen the trailer for The CW’s Arrow, then you know Oliver Queen is pretty quick with the bow. While those are amazing skills, don’t put your money on super-powered villain of the week when the series debuts this fall.
