Disney has renewed its first look pact with Stan Lee’s POW Entertainment.  This will be a two year deal that gives the House of Mouse the option of taking POW’s content and spinning it into television, publishing, games, and online or mobile content. The first project spinning out of this deal is Lee’s Time Jumper, a digital comic book series that Disney will distribute across various media (web and mobile most likely). Bryan Singer’s Bad Hat Harry Productions has made several plays in the comic book marketplace, first snagging up Rob Liefeld’s Capeshooters, and now Radical Publishing’s Freedom Formula by Edmund Shern. Freedom Formula is a five-issue mini-series that is very mecha-esque with exo-suits replacing fighter jets, and the racer who learns his bloodline has the power to change society.  Like Capeshooters, Singer will only produce this flick through his production company. Press Release Comics legend Stan Lee has signed a deal with acclaimed novelist Perry Moore, author of the award-winning gay superhero novel Hero. The two creators announced their new business partnership today at the Comic-Con International: San Diego panel “LGBT Portrayals in Comics.” Lee appeared as a surprise guest at the panel, sponsored by Prism Comics, a nonprofit organization that promotes lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) creators and comics content.
