Press Release Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Michael Chiklis (The Shield)  has signed a deal with IDW Publishing to develop a graphic novel series, Olympus, based on an original idea by Anny Simon Beck.  Chiklis will develop Olympus thru his shingle, Extravaganza Productions.  The parties anticipate the project being developed for other entertainment media, including film, television and games, with Chiklis to essay the Greek God Zeus.

Brian Michael Bendis has confirmed that the FX network is actively developing a pilot based on the BMB/Michael Avon Oeming Powers series. “‘Powers’ is in active development as a pilot at FX,” Bendis told MTV. “I just handed in a draft to the network and we’re getting our notes from the network as soon as this thing is over. So next week I’ll get the notes, and as long as they don’t involve sock puppets and some sort of orgy scene that I’m not interested in, then hopefully it will go in the right direction.” While active development is a…

Josh Howard and Image Comics have announced that Howard’s Dead@17 series is moving to Image.  Dead@17 had previously been published with Viper Comics, but for some time now, the series hasn’t been showing up in the monthly previews. Unfortunately, I’m not really in a position to comment on Viper’s issues, but it is my hope that eventually my other projects will follow Dead @ 17.
