Here’s a roundup of more IDW news announced at the San Diego Comic Con this afternoon. Bat Boy is Back! One of the strangest bits of stuff I was exposed to when working late-night radio was reading a copy of The Weekly World News that featured Bat Boy on the cover. Over the years, the Bat Boy mythos grew until the fictional character took on a life of its own.  Bat Boy has been pretty quiet these last couple of years, but IDW Publishing is resurrecting the character in comic book form. The series will be written by IDW’s Publisher/Editor-in-Chief…

During the Geoff Johns panel, Johns said that there would be more of those plastic Blackest Night rings on the way to stores as the series plays out.  Best of all, people are going to be able to snag rings in all the Corps colors. That is like ten kinds of AWESOME!  I think I’m going to turn into a bit of an Orange Lantern when I say, “MINE! I must have them all!”

IDW Publishing has announced it is bringing J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl series to the company.  The original series will be collected in an oversized deluxe hardcover in the spring of 2010.  Following that, new Danger Girl stories will be produced, featuring Campbell’s work on the covers. I’m surprised it took this long for the original series to be collected in trade, as the art alone warrants the super-sized treatment. There’s more from the press release, after the jump
