Beginning at the Big Apple Con in October, TCGplayer.com will host a series of Magic: The Gathering competitions with major cash prizes being awarded to the winners. Starting at Big Apple Comic Con, October 1-3 at Penn Plaza Pavilion in New York, the TCGplayer.com Championship Series will host events at every Wizard World Comic Con, offering $10,000 prizes at each, culminating in a huge $75,000 championship tournament at Chicago Comic Con in 2011. In total, over $250,000.00 in cash and prizes will be paid out during the inaugural year of the TCGplayer.com Championship Series.

At the San Diego Comic Con, Legendary Pictures handed out T-Shirts with this image of Godzilla on it.  Apparently, when attendees stood in front of a webcam, the Legendary Pictures logo launched an augmented reality video showing the god lizard in action and shooting off his atomic breath.
