Press Release At San Diego Comic-Con today, IDW Publishing announced an all-new series of The Crow comics, beginning in 2012. IDW Publishing will produce several comics series in the universe of James O’Barr’s classic The Crow comics and based on the upcoming feature film. Additionally, IDW will offer collector’s editions of all existing The Crow comics.
Marvel continues to throw down the gauntlet when it comes to trying to best DC at every turn. During Marvel’s Next Big Thing, Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said of the upcoming Ultimate line, “You’ll have to just buy three books to get one universe and not 52.” Them are some strong words. Mike Judge and MTV have announced that Beavis and Butthead are returning to television. Judge joked that he brought the show back because he felt like TV was getting too smart. He explained that originally, he ended the series after being burned out, stepping away from the characters in spite of offers for sequels to the movie, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America. During his panel at the San Diego Comic Con, Robert Rodriguez announced that Frank Miller has indeed completed the script for Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For. The sequel will not only include an adaptation of the Sin City arc, but two new stories set in the world of Sin City. Rodriguez revealed that the title for one of them will be The Long Bad Night. Because Rodriguez basically controls all means of production and shoots most of it on green screen, the director stated that the film could begin shooting as early as later this year.
