And you thought Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice was going to be an epic fight! Well, tonight begins the latest battle between two DC Comics properties on local television – Gotham up against Supergirl! It’s the kind of thing that ends up discouraging comics fans from wanting their heroes on the small screen.
CBS has released a brand new spot for the upcoming CBS series, Supergirl that features footage we haven’t seen before.
Here is the first look at Iddo Goldberg (whom readers may know from Peaky Blinders), in the role of the classic DC Comic’s character Red Tornado – a character that has often appeared in a role of mentorship to up-and-coming superheroes (the Young Justice cartoon being his most recent on screen appearance). Warner Bros. previously announced that Goldberg would be playing both Red Tornado and his created Dr. T.O. Morrow, although to date only Red Tornado has been photographed. Supergirl premiers on CBS on October 26th, though Red Tornado will not be appearing in the pilot.
