Marvel teases yet another Uncanny series in the Marvel NOW! relaunch/rebrand/renumbering/reboot. We already have Uncanny Avengers, and Uncanny X-Force, so what could be next? A title simply called Uncanny X-Men seems too on the nose.
This series created a stir when it first came out more than a year ago. Peter Parker was dead and a new Spider-Man, Miles Morales, took his place. Since its arrival, Ultimate Spider-Man appeals to both old and new comic book readers. It combines the classic superhero origins and themes into an original modern story. Although he shares the iconic presence of his predecessor, Miles Morales is an all-new, all different Spider-Man.
A whole slew of new books were announced last week at New York Comic Con. The exact figure comes somewhere close to the amount of Slave Leia’s that were cosplayed. I of course have no source for that little factoid, but it just seems right. Anyways, take the jump for two new series coming from Marvel in 2013.
