Boom! Town announces first product

Knowing that a certain person entrenched with Boom! Studios is a good friend of Too Much Coffee Man creator Shannon Wheeler, it comes as no surprise that Boom! Town will offer up an animated Too Much Coffee Man mug.

Boom! Studios announces Boom! Town Imprint

Late yesterday, Boom! Studios announced a new imprint for the company called Boom! Town.  It will be Boom!’s home for high quality, lit-oriented comics.  With the success of the Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep series, I expect we’ll see more of the same from the new imprint.  Boom! Town joins Boom! Kids as the second imprint for the company.

Boom! Studios teases new series

Boom! Studios sent us this teaser image for an upcoming series.  We don’t know any other details, but I wonder if it will be called “Mark Waid is Samuel L. Jackson”?

So any guesses?  xXx, Jumper, the upcoming adaptation of Unthinkable, Shaft, or something else?

Cthulhu Tales wins 2010 Great Graphic Novels for Teens Award

BOOM! Studios is proud to announce that the Young Adult Library Service Association (YALSA) has selected CTHULHU TALES VOL. 2: WHISPER OF THE MIND as one of their 2010 Great Graphic Novels for Teens.

This year, YALSA has compiled a list of 73 titles out of 127 official nominations selected from all graphic novels published in the last 16 months. These titles are recommended for readers ages 12 to 18 and are chosen for their ability to “meet the criteria of both good quality literature and appealing reading for teens.”
