REVIEW: Adventure Comics #519

Or – “I Almost Forgot How To Do This With A CURRENT Book…”

So, with the Legion having their own book again, the first-half (for now, at least) of Adventure Comics is dedicated to tales of the LSH when they were young.  We’ve gotten a couple of real bombshells in the first few issues, and now the LSH is travelling to the PAST to see young Clark Kent in his natural habitat.  Surely this will be an incredibly significant moment for them all, right?

So, how YOU doin?  When I joined the intrepid staff here at Stately Spoilers Manor, I was a carefree young lad, temping at a dog food company and literally finding myself with hours at work to stare into space.  Ahh, those were the heady days of cafeteria food and three-a-day reviews.  Now that I have a *real* job, my first in several years, I’m horrified to find that I have to spend 8 or 9 hours per day ACTUALLY WORKING.  Uncool, to say the least.  But, the faithful Spoilerites continue to call their siren call, and the review pile continues to expand like the waistline of an Atlantic City call girl (those all-you-can-eat buffets can really add up.)  Thus, I bring you another episode of…  RAPID FIRE REVIEWS!

Beware the Great Disaster!

Here we go, a week full of revelations and answers to all your questions! Wait…what? This is only week 37? Damn. That means it’s another issue full of twists and turns, as our group of heroes trip through the DC Universe on the way to The End. This week a couple of stories get a much needed kick in the pants, while others get us nowhere fast. Does that mean Countdown #37 is a bad issue? Not at all.
