ART APPRECIATION MOMENT OF THE DAY: Mike Mayhew

Sketch covers are an interesting breed of variant cover.  Sometimes you get a limited run sketch cover that is simply a print of the original work.  Other times the cover is an actual sketch on a blank cover done by one artist and auctioned off or sold for a high price.  More often than not, I see sketch covers that don’t live up to the hype, which is why I’m happy to show off this cover by Mike Mayhew that is simply stunning.
