We haven’t been writing too often about books selling out at the distributor level, but the news that Archie Comics’ Life With Archie #16 – The Wedding of Kevin Keller selling out is kind of a big deal.
Or – “This Cover Has The Makeup On All The Wrong People…” Veronica should have the Demon makeup, as she is the one with the hair to carry it off. (Plus, I think many people will agree that she would be the most interesting one to carry off Gene Simmons’ trademark tongue thing.) Jughead should be Ace Frehley, the ethereal Celestial spaceman who could clearly eat as many hamburgers as he wanted. Press Release Already considered a leader in the realm of digital comics, as The Huffington Post reports, Archie has now taken it one step further by integrating digital comics directly onto the Archie Facebook page, giving over one hundred thousand fans access to Archie’s digital library via Graphicly. Archie CEO Jon Goldwater expounds on this new initiative with this, “We want Archie to be available to everyone everywhere. We want to create a one-stop shop — an Archie “superstore” that’ll serve everyone’s needs. That’s the goal. Digital is part of that over-arching plan.”

They’ve successfully persevered through nearly eight decades of progress, changing with the times while maintaining the core of their portrayals. I’m just worried that The Demon is going to steal BOTH Betty and ‘Ronnie from Arch. (Hey, if anybody can do it, Gene Simmons can… Just ask Lois Griffin.)
