Producers Ahmet Zappa and Christian Beranek have acquired the rights to the critically acclaimed graphic novel with the intent of turning it into a feature film. Arcana Studios has announced a deal with Legacy Filmworks where five of the comic company’s titles will be made into films. First out of the gate will be Paradox, starring Kevin Sorbo, and directed by Brenton Spencer. Sorbo plays a homicide cop on a parallel Earth ruled by magic who investigates a series of murders committed by a previously unseen means: the power of science. Christos Gage and Ruth Fletcher Gage wrote the screenplay based on Arcana’s three-issue limited series written by Christos Gage, who has worked for Marvel and DC Comics. Arcana Comics has announced that Jennica Harper has been hired to write the big screen adaptation of the company’s Clockwork Girl. The comic tells the tale of a nameless robot girl and her friendship with an amazing mutant boy. The series was the first release from Arcana’s new Arcana Kids imprint and has received critical acclaim for its artwork and touching story.
