Seems like we’ll never go a season without some form of Batman or Justice League cartoon available for fans. The next outing for Warner Bros. Animation is Batman: Brave and the Bold. There are lots of recurring characters including Booser Gold and Skeets, who will be voiced by the original voice actors from JLU.

Cartoon Network has announced it has acquired the rights to take three comic titles “Firebreather”, “The Vanishers”, and “Mice Templar” and turn them into feature length movies. Firebreather and Mice Templar are going to get the animation treatment, while The Vanishers will be turned into a live-action film.

The first Robot Chicken: Star Wars DVD was released this week, and the episode earned an Emmy nomination for best animated episode, today Adult Swim has given the green light to Seth Green to follow up the success fo the first with Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II.
Many members of the voice cast from the first special, including original “Star Wars” actors Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams — reprising their roles as Princess Leia and Lando Calrissian, respectively — are back. Also returning are Seth MacFarlane as Emperor Palpatine, Conan O’Brien as Zuckuss, Breckin Meyer as Admiral Ackbar and Boba Fett, and Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks. Green will voice several characters, including Ponda Baba. Joining the voice cast this time around is Andy Richter.
Don’t worry about missing the episode before school starts as Adult Swim isn’t planning on releasing the second installment until November 19, 2008.

Yesterday the Emmy nominations were announced with the incredibly awesome HBO series John Adams receiving the most nominations (23). Further down the list, DC’s New Frontier made it on the Animated Program (One hour or more) list alongside Family Guy’s Blue Harvest and South Park’s Imaginationland episodes.
Hands down New Frontier should get the award, but everyone in H’wood seems to be in love with Seth MacFarlane, so don’t be surprised if the Star Wars parody walks away with the award.

First it was Invincible getting the animated treatment, now Warner Bros. is announcing something very similar.
UPDATE: I just finished watching the 22 minute Chapter 1, and I must say it looks really good. The images are taken from the graphic novel, and do include word balloons and the like, but what makes this one stand out is that the panels are animated, with the figures moving, and shifting through the scene. The only thing that would have made this first episode better would have been if they could have gotten the character’s mouths to move. Other than that, it is worth checking out over on iTunes.
