More toys found on display for NECA today. This time it’s their 1/4 scale action figures, showing off a pair of Batmen that were seen at Toy Fair earlier this year. The other three are new for San Diego though. All five figures stand around 18 inches tall and feature unique accessories and, at least for those what need to, some cloth accessories. Or – “Here’s A Real Tough One To Find…” This summer has been tremendously successful for back issue purchases, and one of our recent hauls at the store (Gatekeeper Hobbies, Huntoon & Gage, Topeka!  Ask us about our Evel Knievel #1) included a large collection of promotional and freebie comics, books that are rare even by comic print-run standards.  Because of the sheer number of books we’ve picked up, I was ready to toss this book in the 3 For A Dollar bin, but fortunately I consulted my pricing guide first, and was nearly knocked off of my chair.  Righting…

I didn’t get into collecting action figures until about a decade ago, and didn’t get into the Marvel Select toys until two years ago. Unfortunately, that means if I want to track down a favorite figure from days gone by, I’m going to have to surf the web and probably pay a high price. Today, Diamond Select Toys announced it is re-issuing some of the more popular figures, and that is a big plus for toy collectors.
