In order for 20th Century Fox to keep the Daredevil franchise, the studio needs to be in production by October 10, 2012. Joe Carnahan had a gritty take on the character set in the ’70s, but the studio turned the idea down.
Now on the internet are two sizzle reels that were used to give the studios a feel for what he was aiming for.

A couple of weeks ago, we told you that 20th Century Fox was running the risk of losing the Daredevil property due to the director ditching the movie at the last minute. There’s a new twist in the tale, that may have Marvel giving Daredevil a pass in order to get bigger characters.

There is an interesting story over at Deadline regarding the current state of Daredevil as a movie property and movie licensing. According to Mike Fleming, 20th Century Fox has just lost David Slade as the director of the movie reboot. While it isn’t surprising that a movie loses its director, it is interesting that by losing the Slade, the studio may have put their claim on Daredevil in jeopardy.
MOVIES: Josh Trank really on board for Fantastic Four

Good news for Chronicle and Fantastic Four fans. Deadline is reporting that Josh Trank has officially been brought on board as the director for the Fantastic Four reboot. More than likely this film will have no ties to the first two movies, and 20th Century Fox expects that Trank will direct the film as his next project, even though the director has been attached to a number of projects.
