Comicbook.com and Heroic Hollywood have confirmed that Netflix’s Iron Fist show for Marvel is not only moving forward, following swirling rumours a few short weeks ago that it was getting canned, but that it has found it’s show runner in Scott Buck. What a great world we live in! Both Marvel and DC have television shows out right now led by female characters and supported by African American men. This is a much needed strike for diversity in the ever changing landscape of contemporary media. ShonenJump.com had launched their live countdown to the next generation of the popular Naruto anime series. The countdown will end on December 9th just in time for the Jump Festa when more information about the nature of the project will presumably be dropped (manga, anime, movie?). No word yet about whether Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto will return to the property after ending his fifteen-year-run on the manga in 2014. What would you hope the most for? Comicbook.com reports that Disney XD’s highest rated show Star Wars Rebels has officially been renewed for a third season. The third season is currently in production and will air in 2016.
