Brendan Fraser to Play Villain in ‘Batgirl’ Movie

Brendan Fraser has been cast in DC’s upcoming ” Batgirl ” movie. He will play the villainous Firefly, a sociopath with a passion for pyrotechnics, opposite star Leslie Grace. Specific plot details for “Batgirl” have been kept under wraps, though it centers on Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham police commissioner Jim Gordon.

Years ago, filmmaker Denis Villeneuve had agreed to adapt ” Dune,” Frank Herbert’s seminal sci-fi novel, under one condition: the sweeping saga about warring political dynasties that clash over access to a vital planet could not be confined to only one movie.

‘Dune 2’ a Go From Legendary, Warner Bros.

Denis Villeneuve is officially returning to Arakis. The filmmaker’s dream of completing his two-part series is becoming a reality, with Legendary and Warner Bros. on Tuesday announcing they are moving ahead with a sequel that will hit theaters Oct. 20, 2023. The first Dune opened in cinemas and hit HBO Max simultaneously on Oct.

PrintWatch: No More Second Printings From Image Comics

Image Comics has informed comic book retailers that they will no longer be publishing second, third, fourth printings of any title as a result of the printing and distribution issues of which Bleeding Cool has been running extensive coverage of late. When we first approached Image Comics about this issue, they stated that Image hadn’t been affected.
