Thanks to DC’s new Justice League: Infinity #1 (look for my review later this week), I’ve been thinking about the animated Justice League team. The series’ success came in boiling down each hero to a few key character traits, which succeeded in making them more iconic in many ways. Animated Superman is clearly the inspiration for the New 52 version, while that Batman is probably the best modern portrayal since Jim Aparo stopped drawing The Brave and The Bold. Even characters like Booster Gold got their moment to shine, leading us to today’s infinite query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is torn between the happy-go-lucky Flash and The Question as conspiracy theoriest, asking: Which hero is the BEST animated Justice Leaguer in your estimation?

I feel like the generally accepted modern characterization for John Stewart came from JLU, so it’s hard not to pick him. And I sorta hated Booster Gold til JLU, so i have to give them credit for turning him around in my mind. And who can say no to Nathan Fillion occasionally showing up as cowboy Vigilante.
There was this one episode of JLU with two characters in the forefront I never expected to see: Shining Knight and Vigilante, it’s hard to not pick those guys.
