Since the earliest days of comics, flame powers have been one of the cornerstones of superhumanity. From The Human Torch to the Blue Flame to Wildfire all the way to modern characters like Inferno or Firehawk, the question of which hero is the hottest is a difficult one. Add in the likes of Ghost Rider (with his mystical hellfire) and Firestorm (with his nuclear forehead) and things get even more nitpicky, leading to today’s heated query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) just walked out into a 100 degree afternoon, apropos of nothing, asking: What fire-based character is actually the hottest?

I’m going with Dark Phoenix, though her powers aren’t necessarily flame-based. Fire is part of her aesthetic, and she can wipe out an entire galaxy without needing a nap like that wimp Johnny Storm when he goes nova.
Liz Sherman from the B.P.R.D. Her full fire cleansed the Earth of Chthulian-level corruption. Plus, Selma Blair.
Steve Ditko’s Dormammu. The head, the mouth, what a great design.
I am partial to legions WildFire, but have to admit that Phoenix/Dark Phoenix are definitely hotter.
